This ongoing body of work tells stories of ‘otherness’, where mythical creatures inhabit the fringes of society. The images explore themes of play and self-expression, in spaces on the wild exterior of society. Photographing at night is one element of this work, occupying a space and time void of human life - a reclamation of the dark that is deemed to be ‘scary’ or dangerous, and instead transforming it into a playground. This work is a tale about creatures, ‘others’, and more-than-human beings, who are interconnected with the land and draw power from it.
