Seaweeds.

Born from curiosity and a pursuit of awe, Seaweeds excavates the hidden details of the British coast. Producing this work in Cornwall, Nev immersed themselves into every algae-adorned corner of the landscape. On most days they could be found trawling through the harbour at low-tide, the shores of Loe Bar, and the cliff tops with choughs for feathered company. They gathered various samples of seaweed, which have been photographically replicated through photograms, cyanotypes, and scans. The resulting assemblage of works invite viewers into a vibrant, watery world that honours the rich wildlife of British coastlines. Seaweeds provides a kaleidoscopic reminder of the treasures to be discovered both in our abundant environment, and within our own divine beings as we move through this beautiful world.
