Nev Irvine is a visual storyteller and sorcerer of light, exploring the divinity beheld by the
natural world and its intertwinement with the human spirit. Their most recent bodies of personal work examine themes of ‘otherness’, joy and autonomy through constructed folk narratives. Nev pairs the camera medium with alternative photographic processes to document the veil of sacrality that encloaks the wilderness around us. Their work serves to advocate that we strengthen our relationship with our flora and fauna neighbours, embrace our own inherent wilderness, and perhaps sniff some dirt once in a while.
